As a good dev, you use git for your version control and deployment. What if all of a sudden git tells you server certificate verification failed, what would you do?

It happened to me this week. First on my dev machine and later on a test server. I simply downloaded and installed the latest version of git on both systems. That worked for the desktop but not for the server. I ended up cloning without the ssl check. This is not the best solution but it allowed me progress

//my quick fix
git clone -c http.sslverify=false
